Sunday afternoon's ride was a short one, only 16+ miles, the winds were strong, out of the NW. The cold front made it completely through and temps are dropping. Had enough warm kit to comfortably ride, it was 48ºF while riding, not sure about the WCF, at the time I was out riding winds were 13-15, with gusts to 18. I just wanted an easy ride to cap off the week.

Was this ride before or after the swap-out to Ultegra? Looking forward to hearing the ride report.

Sunny and a balmy 48. The snow is completely gone from the roads, even though ice lingers annoyingly on the front porch. Great day for a quick after work ride on a shiny steel bike! (16 miles)

Another good weather day, just a little cool. Some winds, but nothing to write home about, too nice to be griping about anything. 25.5 miles.

A very cold morning for Central Florida with temps in the low 40's at the start of the ride. Winds weren't helping much but I did get in a 37 mile ride with my buddy Steve. Because of the cold weather, it wasn't a very fast ride but it was enjoyable.

I've only been able to ride 3 days this year (21.4 miles) due to weather and :50: No ride the past 5 days.
Grumpy old man gets Grumpier. Blames Mother Nature for weather and aging process. |
A carbon copy of Monday's ride, 25.5 miles, beautiful weather once again.

Freakishly warm, but very windy here (65 with 25+ mph winds). Rode 57 miles, laps around a lake. Very fast about half the time, very slow the other half.
|
No ride this afternoon, its my regular rest day, and most of my Ultegra groupset swap over stuff got here. If everything is here, I am doing the assembly Saturday.

57 miles today, 32 group riding and they were killing me. Still have not recovered from the marathon on Sunday. Hoping for a better ride on Saturday.

At least you got out riding. We've had too much ice on the roads for me to commute. But I confess a group of 32 is 31 more than my preferred group size.

Did 10 lungs-on-fire miles Thursday, first ride after a 3-day bout with a respiratory bug. Had to stop several times to catch my breath. Still felt better for the effort, though. Trying to enjoy the spring-like weather before it turns again.

Rained out today but I did get in a slow, 20 mile ride with the wife yesterday.
|
Another 25.5mile afternoon ride, rain yesterday and early morning today, but things dried of enough for a nice afternoon. Tomorrow is forecast to reach 65ºF, and then back to winter weather by Monday. You guys up in the mid-west and Great Lakes area be careful if you go out, Arctic air gets kind of chilly, I hear.

37 very hot and windy miles this morning. Started off cool but turned hot very quickly. Winds were 17 mph with 23 mph gusts during the last 8 miles.
|
After not having ridden since the 4th, finally got out for a 6 mile ride this afternoon. Low 30's but the roads are almost entirely clear of ice.
|
Totaled 80 miles today. Only 20 miles of which were with the LBS group since they were holding 24/28mph and that was the slow part of their 38 miles out and back to the shop. After I dropped off it was a 20mph pace for the 16 miles back to the shop for me.

52.6 miles with 1952 feet @ 16 mph. Caught a break with the weather. The rain ended early and it was an almost balmy 46 deg with 11 mph wind.
BTW I almost got droned out there today. As I'm approaching a short steep hill I'm working it to carry some momentum into the hill I see an Asian kid and his parents spread across the road and just having a grand old time. I didn't see it until I was about 10 yards away but the kid was flying a drone about eye level. Just managed to avoid it. Freakin peckerhead was a menace and I told him so.http://forums.bicycling.com/static/i...s/icon_mad.gif |
32.5 miles on my 1961 Scwinn middleweight. Temps in the mid 40s. Cloudy for the most par with a stiff breeze in my face going out and at my back coming home.

Catching up on rides:
Saturday, 20.50 miles, the last ride on my Rival groupset, and the original Fulcrum wheelset. disassembled everything after getting back home. Worked until 9:00 P.M. on the new Ultegra groupset installation. Sunday, 20.50 miles again, a test ride of the new groupset's and wheelset's installation. Everything was just fine, no problems, and it rode excellently. Both days were beautiful, blue sky days, with some NNW winds this afternoon. Bill |
We took our tandem out fro 19.9 miles, a short day, cold, starting sunny and turning overcast.

Only able to ride 40 miles today. Weather was cool but refreshing, bike was fast and quiet, group was friendly and working together, body was crappy.
|
A cold and windy 36 miles this morning. With today being a holiday, I figured there was going to more than just my buddy and I at the park this morning. It's nice to have the place to yourself once in a while.
