31 miles temp in the 20's, cloudy day with wind from the NW at times gusting to 18MPH. The sun is making an attempt to break through the low clouds but not today.

A whopping 5 miles after work yesterday - clear streets, mid-30's, no precipitation. Took the LWB V3 out and really enjoyed the ride.

One hour on the trainer, while watching Ellen on the boob tube. Forty degrees and sprinkling outside. Rode a bit yesterday, what I thought was a cool breeze turned out to be a bitter cold wind, once I got on the bike. I HATE WINTER!!!!

Bikes: confidential infromation that I don't even share with my wife

Two hour trainer class tonight. I was reflecting, on the way home, about how much I've been riding lately. In the past 7 days I have spent 11.75 hours on a bike. It's been 13 weeks since the ankle fusion surgery, I'm officially back! Next I have to catch up with the guys who didn't take a couple months off.

February 26, yes, another beautiful but cold day and I am lovin it.
Temp in the low 40s when I left before noon. Rode 20+ miles and had my second meeting with the Parks and Recreation Dept. Wind was out of the NNW @ 6/10 so it was no factor. It was a beautiful Florida day. Not a cloud in the sky......
I don't like 20 mile rides so I might try for another 20 later to make it a 40 mile day. I have got to step it up as I am only tracking at a 6300 mile year so far.

20.2 miles with temp in low to mid 20's, with the wind it felt like the temps were in the teens despite the sun out.

Longest ride of the New Year: 20 miles - with the Temp flirting with 40F, dry roads.

I finally got back out on the bike after a week of laying off due to heavy sinus pressure and cold symptoms. It was sunny and mid 50s, but the wind was blowing. I planned my route to be mostly headwind in the first half and mostly tailwind later. The plan worked out pretty well and I put in 50 miles on the Casseroll (Butternut).

25.4 miles this morning temps in the 30's but no sunshine. When the flurries started I decided to head home but it was a false alarm.

My Sunday ride was 2.5 hours on knobby tires over slushy wet roads with some sleet thrown in to make it interesting.

March 1, yes, another absolute beautiful day and I am loving it.
Temp in the high 50s when I left about 11AM. Rode 28+ miles. Wind was out of the SSE @ 6 so it was no factor. Stopped at The Out Spoken Bike Shop in Lake Mary and had a new freewheel and chain installed. It was a beautiful Florida day. Not a cloud in the sky......

18 miles after work. Looking forward to Daylight Saving Time in a couple of weeks so that can be more like 30 to 40 miles.

Last night's workout was supposed to be outside but I chickened out and rode indoors because it was dark and 30 degrees when I got home from work. I don't mind riding in the dark but don't trust my judgment for cadence and HR zone. Spent 2 sweaty hours on the rollers and trainer. First 30 minutes was a warmup on the rollers @ 105 rpm then went on the trainer for a Z3 interval @ 95-100 rpm for 1.5 hours. It was a breakthrough workout for me after the ankle fusion. I feel back up to speed and am riding without limitations, concerns or guilt.

The Baroque World Of Fernando Botero

Feb. 2, a very cold windy evening 20 mile ride through downtown St. Pete with SloSpoke Tina. We made a quick stop at the art museum that is featuring some sculptor who's name I can't pronounce. I think he had a thing for large women.
