Was able to get out at lunch for an interval set. Happiness is hitting all your wattage targets.

Just 9 miles today. I was ready for my usual 55 mile ride, weather forecasts said it would be in the mid 40°s. Went outside at 1:00, Blue sky. The warmest time of the day here is 2:00 to 4:00 , it was 28°. Rode to the top of the hill I live on and could see far to the North where I was heading. Solid cold fog. I noped out of there and headed home. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, well see.

29* and some sunshine today. First outdoor ride in awhile and first time trying the neoprene booties, which were quite helpful for the feet. I will wear my 400 weight Smartwool under my jacket next time and I should be fine. All was well other than needing that extra body layer. I love my Kona's and Clement MSO's are great tires! I hope they stay the same with the Donnelly name. I felt no fear at any time, but I did respect the heck out of one corner that had some ice chunks. Easy ride of 9.9 miles. B-17 needs the same treatment I gave my C-17 - a whole morning dedicated to testing and fine tuning seat position.

Amazed to learn I will make 1000 miles tonight in Zwift. Stomach fat is almost gone and I feel great and pain free.

Several days since last ride - got out after work this evening for five miles. Below freezing but dry. Was getting dark but that's what lights are for.

Road trainer hard for 1 hour 18 minutes at 5am. Then by 12 noon it was 32 degrees no wind so out for 27 mile ride outside. Good ride some sciatica after but that has been a battle. Would like to get a run in off last 2 weeks running as sciatica flare up. Cycling is much better would have road 40-50 today if all outside.

51 slow and windy miles yesterday with my buddy Frankie. 40 windy miles today but it was an excellent solo ride.

Managed to sneak in a quick post-workout pre-dusk run around the neighborhood on the fixie. First time in two weeks without the windstorms we've been having.

25 miles Friday night, my first real ride in more than a week. Been swamped taking care of my mom's transition from hospital to nursing home. Good to get on the bike again, even if only for an easy paced cruise.

Short 25 mile ride today. Starting temps were in the 50s and the wind was coming from the west. West winds bring with them the cold air from the Gulf which kept my sinuses highly active the entire ride. I just got tired of having to slow down or stop every mile or so to clear my sinuses. It was a good, but not so enjoyable ride.

Forth ride of the month today and a cold one it was at the beginning but managed 128 miles. Except for a marathon and half marathon in January, all free time dedicated to increasing daily mileage and speed.

Sunshine and 46* with 5-10/G20mph SW winds. One of those days where you always have a headwind, but it didn't matter. I took the Wheelhouse out and the fit is now discomfort-free. Was a bit put-off at first as drivers weren't very safe, but happiness is a garden and bad thoughts are like weeds, so I just let it go and reminded myself I am in charge of my own safety. Saw other bike riders for the first time and was reminded that they too do some bonehead moves and I understand why people dislike bikes because of it. 20.1 wonderful miles but I did get a bit of a kink in my back from the cold air.

I waited until the temp got up to 40 before heading out on a mostly sunny but very breezy morning. Thought I'd try something different by staying inside a couple neighborhoods with the hope the houses would act as wind blocks. Wrong, because of the way most of the neighborhood streets being oriented north-south. The upside was that I had a headwind for the downhills and a tailwind for the uphills while trekking through the 'hoods. Got in 101 minutes.

Ten miles this afternoon. Sunny and upper 40's but quite breezy. Riding on a windy day makes it easier to ride when the wind is calm.

It rained all night, but finally stopped a few hours ago. But with really overcast skies and wet roads I believe I'll pass today.

Only needed one trip out today since I started 8is after the deeper chill warmed away and got in 101 miles. Again, most on my own so it was a good work out.

Did a moderately paced, but windy, metric century this morning with my buddy Frankie. Figured I would make up some miles after yesterday's short ride.

15 miles Sunday evening on my nearby interval training route. Wow, my aerobic conditioning has really sagged the past few weeks. I need to get back to doing intervals at least once a week again. Hardly had time for the road bike the past couple of weeks. Mostly short errands on the hybrids.

Rode about 22 miles this evening, joined the Tour de Luminaries at the Monon Trail at 16th street, rode with the bunch to enjoy the Irvington Luminaria, then bailed from the ride and rode back home. Roads were a bit damp, but very nice weather to cruise Christmas lights around Indy. This is one of my favorite CIBA rides, but I never ride the whole thing.

58 Miles on a warm 45° day. Started out cloudy, but the sun came out around 1:00. Much better than last week when it was 22°, my water bottles and fingers didn't freeze! My left leg was still very painful for the entire ride, 5 days off helped a little. Only need 51 more miles to break 6,000 miles for the year. Should get it on my next ride. At 5,000 I thought I'd done most of my riding for the year, the last 950 came up very quickly.

Just got back from quick bicycle ride to the local park and back. Believe it or not, it is a beautiful 63°F right now here in Richmond, Virginia!

It was a real short 7.75 miles in 29.22 for an avg of 15.8 mph... Not too bad since I haven't ridden in a while due to so many other commitments.

Here's a shot of the little pond and fountain in Deep Run Park:

At the bottom of the big hill on the way back, I stopped to warm up in the sun (windchill!!) and took this photo:

4:30AM today and the sky was full of stars and by 6:00AM fog rolled in and was thick as pea soup. Things cleared up so a little after 8AM I was on the road. Hooked up with the Tuesday group for a while and then on my own once again. At 30 miles I started to feel a bit tire so I ate a MOON PIE and everything got better. Finished up with another 101 miles.

20 mi Galveston Island TX. Jamaica Beach to San Luis Pass bridge and back. WOW really nice wide shoulder, low traffic, almost no wind. Very rare chance to really work hard. 29% zone 4 and 58% in zone 5. GREAT workout.

My usual 10 mile round trip to work. We are in the midst of a warm spell here, with the morning leg at 40 and the evening one at 52. I had to unbutton my coat and take off my gloves to keep from overheating on the trip home. Friday was in the 20s with my first tracks in the snow. However warm it may be now, the winter riding season has now begun.

Had a good 40 mile ride yesterday after a very foggy start. Did 25 miles with a riding buddy and 15 solo miles. The wind wasn't too bad and that was a good thing.

Started out this morning for a 60 mile ride, with my buddy Frankie, on a beautiful, Florida morning. Sometime after midpoint, the wind started to pick up with some very nasty gusts. With three more days of riding left for this week, I really didn't feel like fighting the wind today so when we got to the parking lot, I called it quits with 45 miles for the day.
