Whoops 300 miler on the Sea Way Trail ....

Got in 24 miles, went by the Garden of the Gods, sunny but very blustry day, mean headwind going south or east, "how does that happen"? Stopped by the shop, bought new CatEye Velo 8 computer, upgrade for some wanted functions from my old Velo 5 unit. Weather's supposed to start turning bad for a couple of days RATS! :(

Rio Hondo Riverbed, LA Riverbed 24 miles. Started late, 5 mph head wind, mostly sunny, 70 degrees.

Decided not to do my intervals in the misty rain and wimped out and went to trainer class tonight. During the class a thunderstorm passed over even though the outside temps were in the high 30's.

50.3 miles. A very sunny day but temp was 32* when I started and 55* after I pulled on the driveway. The next few days will be ideal riding conditions, sunny to partly cloudy in the forecast for the next 4 days.

37 miles, chilly when you listen to the weatherman and don't dress correctly.

March 24, yes 30+ solo miles today. Weather was outstanding sunshine and light wind.

40 miles this morning.

Easy 31 flat miles yesterday on the tandem. Temps 65-70. Will ride 20 today on my single.

Rode to work for the first time this year. (Not kidding when I say 3-season commuter). 9+ miles each way. Mild weather. Dry. Only got honked at a couple of times.

Yesterday I rode a hilly 30 mile loop with some of the hardcore roadies. There were a few other riders who weren't really up to keeping up with the soulcrushers, so we formed a B group and rode at a hard but sensible pace. The wind was just enough of a crosswind to make drafting less helpful than usual, so we were pretty beat by the end.
Today I did a 10 mile fairly mild MTB ride. About half doubletrack and half singletrack. One of my riding partners from work bought a new Stumpjumper FSR and wanted to try it out on some easy trails before hitting the crazy stuff later.

After my whining about the snow a couple of days ago, the weather changed and it all melted and the roads are dry. Got home from work called Skipper and said that I needed a ride. (How the h--l can working only 2 days a week irritate me so badly!) So we got together and knocked off about 10 miles riding around town at which time I felt much better thank you very much.

Only 9 miles today. Felt like a lot more, given the headwind. Looking forward to the weekend for a longer ride.

2 hours in the hot and sweaty trainer class. I've finally caught up to the A group by doing 190 rpm for 30 seconds at the top of the high cadence ladder. We had an abundance of Z5 intervals tonight, yikes!

A day late but: Club ride last night, 30 miles, flat (through the Grosse Pointes) 17.3mph average.

Cold and rain today.

When my son was at USAFA, we visited Garden of the Gods. That would be a cool ride!

Got in a short 12+ miles today. It's great to be back on a real bike and off the trainer! This weekend is supposed to turn to cr*p, but should be able to resume after work rides next week.

I rode the same MTB trails as yesterday, but a little farther and a little faster. 13 miles of mixed singletrack and doubletrack and I felt tired but not exhausted. I saw several deer, some turkeys and an owl.

We got 2" of snow this evening! I planned to ride outside for two hours but instead did one hour on the rollers, crashed getting a drink from my bottle, then finished up with one hour on the trainer. 45.7 miles. 27* when I started and 37* at the end of the ride. Sunny but windy coming from the NNE. Tomorrow hopefully will be less windy and warmer.

45 minutes on the rollers. Race tomorrow.
