Rode my usual 25 miles today.
|
I escorted the wife for a 10 mile ride this morning.
Got her to leave the wide smooth streets of the neighborhood, and enjoy some chip seal and potholes with me. :D |
I was able to get out and ride at 6 AM this morning on the bike path. The ride was 20 miles and the weather was nice.
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...da68450ea.jpeg Though rain was predicted so I stayed on the bike path today. |
Did another 25 miles today reaching my 100 miles for the week.
|
Remembered the ice water and tire pump so I was able to push my ride out. Found some nice hiking trails that weren't really conducive to my road bike, but we managed. It was all good. 38Miles

Rode 16 miles this morning. Wasn't planning to ride that far, but was feeling pretty good.
The only thing that messed me up was that I rode off and forgot my water bottle, and it was a steamy day. |
Rode a bit over 19 miles this morning. It was hot and muggy.
I think this may be the longest single ride since dealing with the health issues. I had planned to do a ride in the neighborhood this evening, but thunderstorms and marble sized hail put a stop to that. :( |
I got out at 6:30 am this morning for a ride. I wanted to get out and ride before the day and time got away from me. I was able to ride for 20 miles. Just enough today. The temp was a cool 56f degrees this morning. I was whining to myself about the chilliness of it and about 20 minutes into the ride I totally forgot about the chilliness and it was beautiful weather for riding.

After two unusually warm and humid days for late May in the Boston area, today was cooler but still a really nice temp and much drier. It might have been my first ride this year in shorts and a shirt-sleeved jersey!

Neighborhood ride, 16 miles. Sunny, 72, with a 66 degree dew point made it nasty muggy.
Cheers, Scott https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5057b7a18.jpeg |
Back in the Helderbergs, where the only flats are on the bottom and the top of the hills.

Back at it again today but a more north westerly route through the Boston suburbs:

Can I have a ride in the limo?
|
I was back at it again today, putting in the miles to prep for a 5-day tour in the PNW next month.

I got a late start this morning, and also due to my neck being very stiff and not being able to get past my left shoulder to look I stayed on the bike path this morning. My ride was only for 8.8 miles but at least it was something. I am hoping tomorrow my neck will feel better and I will be back to the road.
|
Yes. 25 miles on Tuesday. Hoping for another 25 mile today.

I got out and rode a group ride this morning because they were riding my speed and an area I had never heard of. The ride was 16.5 miles and the scenery was beautiful. It was a great day to be out riding.

I started later than I would have liked due to the temp being at 50f degrees this morning. Eventually at 7 am I decided to wear a light jacket instead of letting the day get away from me. I rode for 20 miles but I did switch my route up a bit so that was nice. With the switch the elevation decreased which I was surprised at that. Still and all a great ride.

Today I rode 33 miles.

If the wind, rain and storms are finished with us I will be out tomorrow. I really hope the tree limbs have been picked up. Blind corners will be taken slow just in case.
