Goal met!
I know this probably belongs in the "Did you Ride Today" thread, but today was special for me - 3,000 miles for the year. Slightly more than double last year's mileage and the first year on a road bike. I'm full of grins right now!

Well done on the milage- but what are you doing writing about it for?
You ought to be on the bike trying to hit the final target for the year instead of sitting in front of the computer.

Ha! I had to get home to pack for a week-long trip to Munich and wanted to spend a bit of time with the family. Otherwise I WOULD be out there.

I know the feeling - having surpassed my 1200 mile goal in mid-November and breaking 1300 on the 1st of December, all while NYR (not yet retired). Now, if you made that mark today in Wisconsin, you get an extra atta-boy: sunny and 35 here, south of Chicago. I'm sitting next to a well-stoked wood stove.

Darn, I was hoping the thread was about what I first read the title as "Goat met" not "Goal met" as the second reading read. It would of made for an interesting thread.Congratulations on making your goal but you do know that next year you have to exceed this years goal by at least 50+% !

Good job Tony. Hope to join you in a few weeks at 3,000 miles for year. Currently stuck at 2946. Thought I'd at least wait till it stops snowing. Although if it was Dec 30th, I'd be riding.

That sounds like a pretty good year, tntyz!! I've never been much for keeping track, but Jan. 1 is right around the corner. So, thanks for the reminder, I think I will keep track in 2010!!
