4575 - accident in July kept me from reaching my goal of 5200.
Goal in 2010 is to ride slower, most of my rides are in B3, B4 zone. Need more time for recovery. It feels strange that Doctors are telling me to slow down instead of Cops.

It was not this year, and it was not me, but it's damned impressive!
And by the way, he WAS NOT over 50 at the time.
We are all mere mortals. How about 75,065 miles. (120,805 km.)?!?!?!

In the year 1939 he rode a bicycle 75,065 miles. (120,805 km.) That is over 200 miles per day, in all kinds of weather, 365 days of the year, or the equivalent of riding round the world, three times in one year.

6066 for me. Down from 8092 last year, but that's OK. My median ride was over 50 miles. 7b centuries. 137 rides. Not too bad a year for me.

Total of 2,248.6. Thought that was a lot for me, but when I think about the fact I did Ragbrai and one MS 150 ride, those 2 were over 600.

I'm just getting into it but loving every minute...started on Sept 6 and close the year with 805 miles at an average speed of 13.5 MPH and have burned something like 43,000 calories. I've got a long way to go before I've got anythng to brag about in this crowd.

Somewhere between 3000 and 5000 - I don't track total miles. Odd year. Some weeks of 200-250 and some of zero. Lots of rain and lots of travel. And lots of rainy travel. Was in MS for two weeks in October with my road & mtn bikes, hoping to ride every day. Ended up with one ride on each due to torrential rains. Got in good enough shape to do my first sub-5 hr. century, but should have been much stronger. Hopefully 2010 will be better and I'll start to do some time trials, but if I don't, no big deal. I just like riding my bike.
Great hearing about everyone else's years, especially those of you just getting into (or back into) riding. Whether you do 500 or 5,000 miles, they're all good. Happy New Year!

It was my first year to ride since the early 80's and I logged most of my 4285 miles between March 1 when I started keeping track and mid October when short daylight hours, a lot of rainy days, and too many really long days in the office cut into my schedule. I only rode 4 times in November and December for a total of 150 miles. I finished the year with 144 rides.
My only goal for 2010 is to enjoy riding as much as I did in 09 and continue with my weight loss. I'm single and didn't date and I neglected my yard and my home. I will continue to neglect the yard and house, but I have a new puppy to train and I hope to find a lady friend so realize that my mileage may decrease this year. That's okay though as long as my belt size does too!

2107 trouble free miles until the last 45 miles(two flats, 1 crash) for a total of 2152 miles. Started in April, surgery in June, started on the road bikes in late August, now am recovering from the crash and can't ride for another two weeks or so. Why didn't some tell me about the bike disease? I now have a Bianchi, Trek 1400, World sport(which is to big) , 1972 sports tourer, and a Sears Free spirit, Yikes!

I bought a commuter this year and did not put a speedometer on it. Then I started riding it on most of my rides and totally lost track of my miles. Now that I am back riding my road bike more Inoticed that I have slowed down due to my slow commuting and overeating.
I now have a computer on both bikes and will keep track again this year. I will put new batteries in the road bike and set them both to zero.
1800 on my road bike and not sure about the commuter. Probably around 1000 or so.
