Turned 60 this past August. Physically: I'm in good shape. Mentally: Things seem okay (at least to me). Emotionally: Getting better but gotta admit that turning 60 really changed my perspective: just wanna have fun.

That is 200 sissies.
I believe that if you open the thread a 2nd time that it counts you as a viewer again. So you might be about 10 of those sissies.

Yes, it won't be long now until your analytical mind will lose it's math ability.

It is my understanding that view counts are unique hits, but it also counts visitors

I have actually experimentally tried to increase view counts and have been unable to do so

All of you seem so old in this poll and now I realize that I am 60 until May.

56, will be 57 in March.

So, I'm the mom of a Marine, and I had ridden my nice Stumpjumper off the base at Camp Pendleton, Calif., (about 3 weeks ago while visiting my son for Christmas) and had to show the buff young Marine gate guard my driver's license when re-entering the base. I got this double-take. He looked at me, then at the license, then back at me, then back at the license, said "Wow!" and handed it back to me...

Now if that didn't make my day, I don't know what else would!

The view counts are not immediately updated. So it is hard to tell. However I've participated in threads where the topic was limited in interest and had only a couple of people posting to it. And the view counts seemed to go up as each of us checked back in. Likewise when there are threads in this forum that grow to several thousand views, I don't think there are several thousand unique viewers checking into them.

Don't wait until April. You can take care of signing up earlier, and your coverage will begin on April 1.

I hit 50 last September and it was no big deal. But this poll reminded me that my dear wife hits 50 in March. Not sure I'm ready to be married to someone that old. Guess that will be the big adjustment.

I went back 100 pages and found a thread that I started about 20 months ago. Opened it and then exited. Came back a half-hour later and the view counter had been increased by 1.

I suppose another unique viewer could have looked at it during that half-hour, but it seems unlikely.

(edit) I just went and viewed it again, then checked back in after a few minutes and it was incremented by 1 again.

Re: Thread views
Far as I know, it's unique hits in the same hour. If you revisit later on, it will get counted again. It tracks by cookie ande IP address.

Once again, same age, and agree completely with this.

Bikes: Several bikes, Road, Mountain, Commute, etc.

I'm a couple of months away from 60, so I checked the 60 box. No wind chill here. I rode a fixed gear century yesterday, 106 miles in almost 8 hours (6:22:26 riding time), a tad over 2,000 feet of climbing.

The temp started out at 55 deg.F at 7:30 AM and ended at 77 deg.F at 3:00 PM.

Feeling older every day, but happy to be living in SoCal.

I am 54 but wondering if I come back and view this thread multiple times will the poll change my age to 55?

I will be 55 in February and this is the first birthday I have looked forward to in a long time. It will mean that I have retirement options at work. I don't plan on putting them into use for a while, but it is always nice to have options.

Turned 56 last week. Lived by the motto-

Live hard, die Young and leave a Worn out corpse!

Did the first two and now trying to make this worn out corpse last for a while longer. Dang, Dad was right!

I know the feeling well. Just turned 55 a few weeks ago and I now have the option to retire at any time. All of my pension investments are fully vested and my sick leave to health insurance conversion option is activated. Don't have any serious plans to retire in the next 18-24 months but I like having the option.
