My Birthday is in March, even rode it a few years ago when temp varied from 36 to 46 and back. Colorado weather varies a lot. Some years we get enough warm spells in between storms to keep trails clear, others, it stays iffy in spots for months on end.
Depends on trail conditions as well as temperature. MTB and dirt for part of the ride makes it a little more effort.
Some years I have to postpone the ride and work my way up to it.

My birthday falls in August, which is the peak of the season for me. It's not unusual for me to do 80-100 miles on whichever weekend day falls closest to it. But no, I don't take the day off work to ride.

Planning on riding my age this spring (75). My 75th birthday was yesterday and it was blowing a gale and heavy downpours all day. Did an hour on the trainer. If I can go 75 miles successfully I will think about a century some time this summer.

I did 56, missed 57 and just reserved the date on my calendar (4/3/10) for 58. It's a fine way to spend a day and this serves as a reminder to get a few more base miles in before then.
