The snow and ice is bad to be sure, but the sand and cinders that are all over the streets right now are pretty dangerous, too. You really need to be careful on turning corners.

After a few spring showers that mess should be washed away. Until then, I'm extra careful because as many have pointed out, we 50+'ers break rather easily.

Not to sound hard hearted here but, I've always considered falling to be a part of winter riding. It just goes with the territory.
