Side Trip to St. Augustine Beach while visiting parents

I used my wife's frequent flyer miles and visited my parents for my Dad's 85th birthday. I drove down the beach Sunday afternoon (see GPS). My brother in law loaned me his Jamis and I rode a couple miles down the beach (headwind of course). Bikes get on the beach free.
Strangely enough it was 62F there and 60F at home outside Washington D.C.

I spent 5 days in Florida in January, visiting my 80+ parents, who live 25 miles from St. Augustine. We spend a day over there.

Bikes: Diamondback Clarity II frame homebuilt.

St Augustine has always been one of the places I would like to retire to................if I ever retire. Currently I'm using Kenda Kosmic Light's and have no plans to do otherwise.

My wife and I spent a very nice week in St Aug this last year. It was a great deal of fun - our condo was right on the beach. However, we did no bicycling, but a lot of walking, etc.

that is my home and I was riding both Saturday and Sunday on A1A (nothern part up by Vilano Beach)
way too cold for the time of year but it was nice to get out for a while.

Nice place, St Aug, but like most of us, I am bored with it and love to go elsewhere
