Whats up with this?

Spring in Northern NY is a time where you never know what your going to get. This image popped up on the forcast for today:

SNOW, rain, & wind.
It's the middle of May for cry'in out loud!
Wind gusts today to 50 MPH, Yesterday it rained all day. I haven't been able to ride since Wed.
I'll get out today and do some climbing in the cold & wind - but my training schedule is shot again. Next weekend is a metric century - that will be painful.

I guess I just need to HTFU.

Something must have blown through during the night; yesterday it was 91 here in southeastern NC; today mid-70s. But no SNOW, thank goodness! Just view your ride today as a chance to build some character...good luck!

Bikes: confidential infromation that I don't even share with my wife

We raced in NE Ohio under those conditions yesterday. Some of the gust really made it difficult riding next to other riders. Lots of touching, no crashes.

I guess I better stop complaining about our 85F weather with wind gusts of 10 mph here in Georgia.
Really, the last 2 or 3 weeks have been quite windy and every time I make a turn it is right in my face feeling like a lasso around my waist saying not so fast buddy.

Yo Cyclingfool. Please arrange for the good weather to get there by the end of June. Wifey and I are planning the annual "Escape the H&H of So. Fla." trip to Albany for June 24th. Bringing my Moto and the Lambo Tandem. Plan to retrace some of my rides from last summer. Especially looking forward to this ride:

Now that I've been riding for just over a year now on the "plains of So. Fla" I'll be interested to see if I do any better on all those climbs. It will be good training for the annual "Horrible Hundred" in the hills of central Fla 0-21 November 2010.

It's nothing compared to a lot of rides, but it's a big deal in flat fla. Especially Sugarloaf Mt. which came up at about mile 76 last year. I didn't do it last year due to a conflict, but really want to join my club for this one.

Yup!

Stayed in yesterday. I figured the wind was too dangerous as trees were falling left and right.

Rode the weekly 'Hellbent for Breakfast' this morning though, 20 miles round trip along the canal. It was 34* with winds out of the WNW @ 16-26mph with snow flurries....and it was fun!!!!!

Ride done, report posted. Got pelted with a few rain drops and I think a little sleet when I was at the top of the ridge. Ride into the wind was slow - ride home was fast.

You will be a bit south of me, The ride up the Thatcher Park is one I haven't done yet. I am usually haunting the hills north and west of the Helderbergs. Not sure how long you will be in the area, but will be glad to connect for a ride.

National Weather Service says 0% chance of rain today. Ride rained out. %*&*%*%! Yep I'm betting they can predict the climate in 50 years.

Fool, we've been conversing in one of your other posts. We're arriving 6.25 and leaving 7/8. I'm going to be playing golf with my father in law 2 or 3 times, and I need to ride with my wife and my sister, and I want to re-ride a couple of the more scenic rides I did last year. Oh, yeah, my brother's widow is now dating a guy that's into biking and I want to try to get out with him. Man, I'm tired out just thinking about it! I'm going to have to come home just to recover from my vacation!
