Another speed reader with a 1.0 page per minute ave. Me?, I like to take the whole thing into perspective looking for little bits of irony, sarcasm and true meaning.

I am always on the lookout for a wee bit of testiness to spice up the tweets.

There's a ride coming up that is captained by the husband of the CRH (tm). I might check him over and if he's a wuss, play a little presidential Captain KickAss on him.

Don't forget the Deep Woods Off. You may need it.

Getting really annoyed with this years weather patterns, seems to start with Monday: windy, windy, rainy, windy, rainy+windy, rainy, rainy (repeat)

When I got to the starting point of my ride this evening, there was a woman unloading a Cervelo S2 with Reynolds DV 46 tubies. There was a lot of wind so those wheels would be a handful. She looked maybe 50ish.

Was she hot? You know, worth the chase?

So, was this a 1/2 can of Off ride?, or, did you use the whole can?

Not really. She was too soft for my taste and sort of Doris (Fred equivalent). I am into the hard body P/1/2 look.

Per The Weak Link's request, I shipped all my cans of OFF to him.

I had to ship my Quarq power meter back to them for calibration. They cross shipped me a loaner so I would not be without one. Today, I got my original one back and installed it on the TT bike. I will test it out tonight.

So I got hold of all those cans Hermes sent me and emptied two of them on me. I didn't go any faster, but when a turkey buzzard got a bit too close (I hate those things) it got one whiff and keeled over dead.

I was back at the same parking area and another woman this time with a Kestral tri bike with no seat tube. She was in some kind of kit but.......a solid 180 pounds plus. My eyes are still recovering.

I was testing my new power meter on my TT bike. Guys, it is a good thing that riding bikes is not like the Old West quick draw. I would be in Boot Hill. On my 2nd z4 of the night, one of my teammates, a younger guy, maybe a Cat 3, goes out ahead. I take off on the TT bike into a 25 mph head wind. I catch him and pass him. I come to a 2% grade and I am hitting 275 watts up the climb and feeling good about myself. He passes me. Fine. There is a down hill section and I keep the z4 power on and pass him again. We come to another grade and I am at 285 w. He passes me and crushes me. And so it goes. Dead. Bury him in Boot Hill and put on the tombstone..................Here lies Hermes...Definitely not a doper or certainly a very bad one.

Ya shouldn't have shipped off all your cans of Deep Woods Off to Weak Link.

If Deep Woods Off makes you faster...and there seems to be some debate on that...then will SPF 50 increase your average speed?

Did you spray it on the correct area?

Got in a quick ride during an unexpected break in the schedule. Finished 10 minutes prior to a thunderstorm. Made an enemy for life by calling someone a YooPee. Going in to the office to fire half my staff because of the 21% Medicare pay cuts that took place this week. All in a day's work.
