Some years back I rode with the Vredestein Ricorso's in 23, the ones that are the predecessors to the model now available....these were the colored tires (I had red). The max psi was 115 so that is what I rode at and would inflate to the edge of the limit each ride. One day the front developed a bulge, the tube came out under the bead and blew out on the brake shoe as the bubble went by. I had approx 5-8sec to bring the bike to a halt before it let go. From then on it was 95lbs and all was fine. It was a very fast tire and cheap, great for training....but they just werent reliable on the upper end of the psi spectrum but worked equally as well just a bit under 100psi. Moral of the story, back off 10psi and you probably wont feel the difference, if you do it wont be significant.

It was still too much air. I let out an unmeasured amount more to keep from sinking too deep in the sand. 20 PSI on the road is almost too much.
