Birthday ride

I turned 59 on the 10th, so I did 60 (solo & non-stop) today. It was a nice ride. Here are the details: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/106600745. The first 20 miles or so were basically uphill and into a head wind, but I got the tailwind & downhill on the way back.

Congratulations on the ride. Just curious, how did you carry enough water for 60 nonstop miles?

I have a 100oz camelbak (which is practice probably holds about 80-90 oz-- Classic model-- minimalist design-they no longer make the 100oz model, only 70oz. I don't know why). Filled that with dilute gatorade and also had a bottle of water and 2 Cliff Bars. Used the water mostly to wash down the Cliff Bars, so only drank about half the water .It was warm enough that I didn't even have to stop for a call of nature. Didn't have to go till I was home for about 15 minutes!

I figured it must have been a Camelbak. They still show the 100 oz Classic on their website. https://www.camelbak.com/Sports-Recre...Intl-Only.aspx

Yep, that looks pretty much like mine. It was out of the lineup for 2-3 years. Works very well for my purposes. Besides holding a lot of fluid, it keeps it colder longer than my Polar insulated bottles. I must say that I use bottles only unless going further than 35 miles or so.
