Pedals and shoes question....

a friend gave me a set of pedals and shoes. They are Speedplay, frog pedals. The shoes are too small, so I need to get shoes that will go with these. How do I find shoes that have the right thingies for these pedals, or is there some other way this works?
Thanks,

Your shoes are MTB shoes and the thingies are cleats. Cleats for Speedplay frogs are shown here: https://www.coloradocyclist.com/product/item/SPEMXZBT. After you buy the shoes, your shop will help you select cleats and either install them for you or show you how to do it.

You might be able to use the cleats from the shoes you were given, just transfer them to the shoes you buy.
