New clipless shoes getting hot?
Picked up my first pair of clipless shoes and installed clipless pedals on my hybrid.
Shoes are Shimano MD 86 spd. After about 10 miles they get really warm on the foot.
I noticed yesterday (first ride with new shoes) and changed from thin black socks to a little thicker white sock today and still getting rather warm after about 10 miles.
Is this normal for new shoes or is there something I should or should not be doing? Thanks for any help.

Do you mean warm as in hot, sweaty foot, or warm as in "gee, the pressure on this one point on my foot is causing a 'hot spot'"?
Vsn 1 is that the shoe is closed and is making your foot hot
Vsn 2 is that the sole is flexing and causing what is know as a 'hot spot' on your foot because of excess pressure.

It is the sole of the shoe that gets hot. I think it is the whole sole not just a hot spot but the entire sole is very warm. I thought it was because it was just new but I've never used clipless before so really don't know.
