The colors on the sunrises and sunsets just burst with color. Was a filter used?

No filter. We just have the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets this time of year, and I am fortunate to live in a place where I have unobstructed views to the east and west. I take a number of photos at different f stops and lighting, and am amazed at how different the results can be. Glad you liked them.

Long-gone Tomcat sitting on the porch in Atlanta 25+ years ago. Just starting to try my hand at scanning medium format negatives.

Entered this one into the "New years Resolutions" challenge on DPChallenge.com recently. It did well, though nowhere near the top.

Heavy rains in Fayetteville yesterday. The Lake Fayetteville spillway was roaring.

There's a shot from Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta above, I've shot there. A couple of these are from Westview Cemetery, a few mile west of Oakland.

Very nice. I have shot at Westview in the past, in the mausoleum. I need to find those images.

The mausoleum is magnificent, especially the chapel inside and the incredible stained glass at every turn.

I've shot at a lot of cemeteries but Oakland and Westview are right up there at the top.

I live in Florida now but Atlanta was my home for 50 years until a couple of years ago. I lived the last 20 in the east Cobb area, from the view in the background in your cat photo above, looks like you were in the north end of the area too, hilly.

Moved to Atlanta from Indiana when we got married 34 years ago. You can bike there year-round! Stayed 8 years, living in Atlanta proper: Cheap apartment in Virginia-Highland and then bought a home in Ormewood Park, long before home prices went up there.

Oakland Cemetery, 1982

Also 1982 but in IN at the Hilly Hundred

The B&W is probably safe, colour, well, remember that colour negatives colour shift as they fade with age, my colour negatives from before 1980 are all faded to the point, where the only option is to scan them, separate into RGB channels, and delete the blue channel, many have lost most of the green as well, but the red channel is still OK, meaning if it had a lot of red in it, it's still usable, if it's mostly green or blue, it's gone.

Here is an example from 1977, as scanned:

Here is a cleaned up decomposed copy with the blue channel deleted:

A B&W negative in my possession that is 20 years older then I am, the people are my grandparents (mom's side), mom couldn't remember the dogs name, the image is pretty much like it was originally, see:

A B&W print of my grandfather (dad's side), which is about 3 years short of a century old, is good enough that I could scan it, bump the contrast a bit, and other then the WWI military uniform, you would think it was taken today.

Great stuff!Ihave 20 or 30 rolls of 35mm Bw negs that my dad shot in WW2,at an American airbase in Russia, the interesting one was a pic of a B25on theGround, then the next pic was over the pilots shoulder to the front while in the air,the next was a shot of a crashed plane,on the ground,I asked him aboute the shots, and it was a plane he was in that crashed,,,,(he survived)
I alsohave a bunch of shots of the original RED ZINGER bike race here in denver, the name was changed in later years to(the coors classic)

Is this cropped, stitched, or do you have a panoramic camera?

^It is just a regular shot that I cropped to get rid of some of the stuff at the top I did not want and to accentuate the low-angle shot I took. I just wanted to focus on the moss.
