Thought about bringing the bike but glad I didnt. Wife and I went to Zilker park to hike. I admire you mountain bikers. You guys are a tough bunch of folks to tackle trails like I saw. Went for a dip in Barton Springs afterward where the temp of the water doesnt rise above 70 degrees. That will wake you up !!!!!!! And felt really good !!!!

Well, I'm Austin most every weekend. Next time you are here, bring your bike. There is a lot of good riding in the Austin area, both mountain and road. It does get hot in the summer, but that is what Barton Springs is for. You can ride pretty much year round. It is flat out east and you have the hill country to the west. Glad you enjoyed your visit.

Ride On!

Bikes: Several bikes, Road, Mountain, Commute, etc.

My brother lives in Austin and I've ridden there a couple of times but the only road I remember is Bee Cave Road. Lots of hills around Austin but no real mountains.
