Wonder if the hills are steep or long. Heard the air is a bit thin so probably quite high but also heard that the locals don't like the tour going through

That's so low-tech. Curiosity's landing was way cooler. BTW, a Mars orbiter caught a photot or two of Curiosity with its parachute deployed. Absolutely amazing.

It looks a lot like the Mojave Desert. Are you sure this wasn't filmed in Arizona and Nevada. Some of the aliens from Area 51 look just like that. Most are greenish though....

Maybe it's a tour of the Ethel M chocolate factory owned by Mars that's out in the Nevada desert.
