This structure was originally a pier for the Manchester Bridge, built in the early 1910's, that connected downtown Pittsburgh with the Northside, across the Allegheny River. The bridge was demolished in the late 1960's after its replacement was built a little farther upstream. It was later carved out and made into a memorial for Fred Rogers (you can see the statue's back). It always reminds me of the Kurt Russell movie and the TV series, though.

My Easter shoes!!!! They are actually 10 years old but I only use them in perfect weather. I used them today trying to see if cleats were causing an annoying clicking noise when I pedal. Nope!

Did a bit of climbing Saturday. 7 of us went from 3k elevation up to 8k on mostly closed roads. I'm the oldest one, again, on the right.

I bought a hot dog at a roadside stand during a bike ride in Fruita, Colorado, a couple of days ago, and paid cash and almost had forgotten how to do it. The poor girl behind the counter looked at the $10 bill I handed her like it was some alien object, and took the longest time figuring out how to give me change. I noticed that even the hot dog stand had a card reader, so I could have spared her the confusion.

LOL! I had this same experience recently and realized that I hadn't used actual "cash" in over a year. I don't miss it.
