Yes. And I think I left a piece of my heart there. Such an amazing country to explore by bicycle.

I remember cycling in Ireland on a road like this. Very narrow, and the hills had tiny, blind summits. I got to one, and at the same time, a car coming from ahead got there at the same time. Right on the summit were some sheep, and they got spooked at being sandwiched by a car and a bike. The driver and I just stayed there laughing at the sheep while they sorted out what to do. Those roads require quick reflexes.

Went on a quick 20 mile ride today. Slight delay by this speeding train.

Vic, I'm pretty sure I remember that spot on our way out to Dingle. If you continue on the coastline back in the direction from where you took the picture, not too far from there is a small beach area where you can go down to the water. Gotta love Ireland!!

I had a nice time at the "Ride the Ups and Downs" ride in Elizabeth, IL last Saturday. This is a hilly area where Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois meet. It's a scenic place with very little traffic and pleasant roads. The only problem is that it takes place early in May and it takes some work to be in shape for the hills!

Nothing too special. It was hill climb day, so rode up to a local lake in the mountains.

Boy, that is impressive!
The hiking path makes me think of some of the roads in Italy that are so iconic, with a long series of switch-backs to get you to the top of the mountain.
At least on the bike, the downhill is easier than the uphill.

Kevin, resting on the protective dog blankets, since Kevin rules the roost, could care less about Photo of the Day

These guys are outfitted for every holiday and sporting event. One was stolen a year ago and a community notice went out and was returned.

These guys are dressed for all holidays and sports events. Have been a fixture for years.

That is definitely a bucket list hike! I did it one year with my kids, and some years afterwards, my daughter confessed that she was afraid of heights!
