From today's drizzly, slow, and cold ride near Loleta, CA (GPS Data Here).

From a bluff you can see the 6 mile road leading out to Eureka's south jetty (you might need to right click and choose View Image to see it):

And here's the bluff from the jetty road:

Nice shots, T-Al! I'm not sure what that device is, but those pyramid lookin things look like radomes for receiving a microwave frequency signals.

Pamestique: Our cat would never do that. He prefers sleeping on clean clothes. And since he's both black and white, he always leaves his mark.

No. It's at a high point in the land and right next to an automatic gate at the entrance to a wildlife refuge. The gate closes (automatically) at dawn and dusk. If the want it to open/close automatically, a timer would do the trick -- no need for an antenna.

Just curious -- too much time on my hands.

I didn't want to ride today, but I'm so glad that I did. No set route, just wandered about for an hour or so.

Gina and I on GMR with Herb & Alyce. Gina looked even better this time on the climb.

My Go Pro took a tumble at 30 mph. Stupid tabs on the connector link snapped. Good thing we were on a straight section with no cars. It ended up in the lane right where the tires would have run it over. Still working fine, few scratches on the case but he recorder untouched. I posted footage of the tumble in slo mo at the end of the video so we could see through the eyes of the recorder. As you cans see, Gina almost ran it over.

Of course a tasty cheap meal after the ride.

Nice vid, nice music, nice tumble. You should submit the portion of the video just before the tumble until after recover of the unit to GoPro to demonstrate the camera's durability and toughness.

Nice tumble video. 19 bounces. I like seeing the shadow of the camera.

Ha ha thanks guys! I did load a separate video on yt. I figure it will get plenty of views there over time but I didn't think of submitting it to GO Pro. That's an idea worth taking a look!

You know you're in the right place when, after you park your bike on the patio and sit down, your waitress comes out and says "Your margarita is on the way, what else would you like?"

Nice pic and use of subject.

They should ask though if you want an alcoholic or virgin version of the margarita, for those who don't indulge.

This place has everything one could want, except air. I'm dying. Vail Pass is going to wait until Wednesday I think.

Nope. The point is that they know me, and know what i want. They don't do that for everyone.

Ah, then that's a great place. Somehow I was under the impression they automatically did that for all--though that wouldn't exactly sense. Sounds like a super place.
