Was this on Rue St. Paul? We really enjoyed our visit to Montreal!

Yes it was. Hard to remember all of the streets we walked, and walked, and walked. We too enjoyed Montreal, much more so that our previous visit 20 years earlier. Found that people were much more willing to speak English this time. It's strange to be in your own country and yet feel like you're in another.

I rode 40 miles on my fixed gear bike today. It was warm but windy, just like my last ride on on Thursday and I rode a similar route. I had a similar hatred for the homeward leg when I had to ride into the wind.

Motivation from last weekend's ride. BTW ... they both qualify for the 50+ forum.

Since Spring has sprung, and things were greening up and blossoming all over, I took my point-n-shoot with me on my weekend ride on the shortest of the "7 loops" of the MCT Trail system, from the Goshen Trail to the Ronald J. Foster Heritage Trail, then on the Nickle-Plate Trail.

One point of interest is the old steam locomotive water tower along the Goshen Trail. The Graffiti artists seem to love it...

Springtime in Wisconsin!

I finally decided to get a video cam for my bike. I am usually more intent on riding than taking pictures, but i thought it might be fun to take some while riding so one day the grandkids can see them and say, "Gramps was pretty good for an old geezer"...or maybe "what the heck was that old fart thinking?"...

I still shoot with my Minolta SRT101 SLR. Digital is much more convenient, but there is something about manually setting up a photo that makes me smile, especially when the photos come out good.

From the Mulholland Challenge yesterday. SoCal is beautiful after the rain.

That road back there is Deer Creek. A hateful climb of only about 2 miles, but with the grades between 13 and 16%, I never dare to stop and take any photos on the ascent. This time, we were descending, so I stopped for several.

I was out for a ride yesterday morning, and stopped in a park to rest for a few minutes. All the picnic tables were painted in various styles and/or colors. I thought this one was the best. I guess you can play a game of either chess or checkers, or have a great imaginary game of Pac-Man in your head.

This is where I ride when going out in the evenings. Lake Charlevoix is only a few blocks away and visible from my porch. It makes for some gorgeous routes and a good 52mi ride with hills to ride the shoreline.

Maybe I'm getting older but none of those 3 look to qualify for 50+ to me!!

They are both amazing. Both look better in a bathing suit than my 25 year old daughter and any of their friends. There is nothing sexier than a middle-aged woman that takes care of herself.

They're also very accomplished and amazing people to hang with.

I think you lie. I think the one on the right (the viewer's right) is your 25 year old daughter. She looks 25 to me. On the left, maybe 40 but no older. Impressive.

I call this one, "old school"... get it?

Love this time of year. Don't have to ride far to see this tree. It's along the driveway. The blossoms don't last long, but they sure are beautiful when the entire tree is covered. Don't ask me what kind of tree it is. I'm over 50 and don't remember.

My guess is a Magnolia Tree... But I thought they were whiter than that...

I'm envious of all the amazing rides that you do all winter long. Our season is just beginning and the effects of limiting riding thru the winter is apparent. [MENTION=403028]Eaton[/MENTION]kd 's post and photos was enough goad me into getting out for a ride this afternoon, albeit a relatively short one. I took the single speed today. This year I'm going to try and make an effort to share the riding among all the bikes. Perhaps not equally, but enough to justify having them. Stopped for this photo along an apple orchard in bloom. Back to the single speed, I checked the brakes (twice) thinking that it had to be more than just the hill I was climbing. It felt like I was carrying a concrete block uphill - I think that would have been me.
