I gotta ask - what is the deal with leg shaving?? If anyone says it's to be more aero-dynamic, I'm gonna fall off my chair laughing!

The pros do it because it makes for easier messages after the race. We do it because... well the pros do it

Oh!

Brings to mind something similar to what my momma used to say...if the pros jumped off a bridge...

I think I'll take a pass on the leg-shaving...

First off, you realize that the full beard will cause greater drag, so you might want to reconsider for that reason alone (I only say that to make it clear that this is relevant to cycling).

On a more serious note, after 29 years of full beard, shortly after turning 50, I went to the goatee and mustache, because with all that dang white in it, I looked a lot older with the full beard. Lost a few years when I went to the goatee and mustache at age 50. To really get younger, I would have shaved it all off, but my wife wouldn't go for it for 2 reasons. One, she thinks I don't have an upper lip, and two, she and my sister are the only people on the planet who think I look older clean shaven, because they think clean shaven I look like my dad. I don't really care what my sister thinks, but I can't have my wife turned off by thinking I look like my dad.

Lol

George Mount used to say, "Lots of reasons. One is so the doctors can work on them easier and because guys like the way it makes them look".

Personally, I get passed with too many guys without their legs shaved to shave mine.

My neighbor shaves all body hair off everything but the top of his head - arms, legs, chest...

...and he suns himself wearing a thong...

The 1950s house I grew up in had the used razor blade slot in the back of the metal medicine cabinet. Like this:

Switched almost a decade ago after spending stupid money on a mach 3. I get a better shave with double edge persona blades for 20 bucks a year than spending god knows how much on mach blades all the time.

west coast shaving is the store I always buy from. I get a zen feeling from not buying into marketing hype.
