Just Gotta Say . . .

I am so proud of my wife.

At 75 >> 76 shortly, she hops on the bike and goes for a ride just like that. No, we don't do long rides together any more, but she can crank out 10 miles (1/2 of that uphill) with no problem, and could go further if she wanted.

And, she is taking swimming lessons and getting closer to that magic moment of doing freestyle by herself (she already does back stroke). She is overcoming a lifelong fear of deep water and drowning - a result of an early childhood epxerience.

So, take THAT, all you 50yo newbies!! .

Thats great I wish her well. I have added daily ocean swimming to my routine and I share her fear of the deep water
there is just something powerful and frightening about being in the ocean

Good to hear, Denver. We all know that exercise is the Fountain of Youth.
