Nope, I'm being honest as well, but if you wish to verify, you're welcome to come to my house and measure me yourself. BTW, here's a recent pic of me taken just a couple of weeks ago. I'm the guy in the Red Riders Jersey. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...pse850e5b2.jpg |

55 , 5'7" , 130lbs . I would like to go down another 5 lbs by the end of the season .

68.6 y/o, 5'-11", 185#.
My cardiologist (who rides and says I'm his hero because I ride way more than he does) says I need to lose 25#. Honestly I wouldn't mind losing 25#. :innocent: My average speed on a flat section is slower than my downhill speed. |

53, 6', 230, averaging around 15 MPH.
|
I'm 5'9", 190 pounds (from beer) and 59 years old. I ride about 30 miles a week, kind of fast, on weekends. Total, complete honesty right there..:)
|
50 y/o. 5'11". 183 lb.
Trying hard to get to 170 lb. Commute but its only 7 miles RT. Sometimes weekend rides, usually 50 miles flat or 25 miles hill repeats. Spin classes in winter. Total ride time for 2 day STP is about 11h 50m, avg 17 mph. However, I doubt I have the endurance to do the 1 day. Fondest wish would be more top end. I am not fast. |
Age=52. Height=5' 11.5" or about 181cm. Weight=141lb as of this moment, or 64kg.
I have no speedometer, but I have been getting faster. I can tell because I'm slowly using littler sprockets of my cassette for accelerating from a stoplight, riding level comfortably at a 70-90 cadence, and climbing, than I did even a few months ago. |
Age 58
Height 6' 7" (just got measured for bike fitting/geometry. It's very weird...since age 17 I've been 6' 8 1/2"). Weight 210lbs Was 220 when I started biking in April for the first time since childhood. Mostly ride on the mountain roads around Asheville, NC. Have found some nice fairly flat rides along rivers. 16 to 40 miles / 3-4 times a week. I have resisted getting a bike GPS or speedometer. |
6 ft, 208, 59 years old. I'm the guy always falling off the back of the group. I did my first century last September at the Missouri MS. Somehow became a co-captain for the team this year.
|
52, 6'3" in the morning, 204 lbs today.
My last 8 decent rides average including stoppage was 10 mph over 630 miles 15.3 over 135 14.3 over 186 14.5 over 124 14.1 over 135 13.1 over 124 14.8 over 135 13.4 over 135 The 135 course is pretty much dead flat, the 630 and 186 were hilly. Not fast in anybody's book, and I waste too much time in stops. |

I was in your neck of the woods a couple weeks ago for the Greensboro 1000k. Some beautiful views, and I was pleasantly surprised at how polite traffic was on twisty hilly roads. |
I'm 57, 6 ft., and tip the scales just below 160 lbs. I average about 175 hilly miles per week......until daylight savings time ends.
|
Age 67, 6 ft., 200 lbs. For some mysterious reason jumped 20 pounds after prostate surgery one year ago. Ride about 75-100 slow miles per week. Most rides are pretty hilly as you can't get away from them in northern New Jersey. Average speed about 13 mph.
|
49 5' 8" 185lbs here in NE Ohio. Am down 25lbs since last summer. Cruzbike Silvio. Wish I was faster. 2440 miles this year and my avg speed for rides is normally around 14.5 to 15.5 mph depending on route.
|
55. 140-145. Been riding for about 2 years. Generally don't do more than 35 miles or so and average around 15 mph (don't have a speedometer so it's just an elapsed time calculation). I dropped about 15 pounds when I started riding.
|
59, 5-10.5, 165(ish)
I can still go kinda fast but usually kinda do not unless I am provoked by a group of bike weenies in which case I stomp them until they give up (or I find a convenient escape/excuse to pull over, like for a coke or coffee). LC |
I'll be 58 in less than 3 months. I'm a leggy 5' 11", around 190 lbs. My bike weighs about 19 lbs. ready to ride, but without bag or bottles.
Tonight I rode with a group for 35+ miles at about 21 mph average (my computer said 20.9, another guy's read 21). No real climbing on that ride but lots of rolling hills. There were 16 of us, all taking turns at pulling. Temperature was about 90 degrees when we started. |
59, 6', 159lbs.
A faster group ride would be 70miles, 4,000', 16.5 mph A hillier one might be 60 miles, 7-8,000', 14.5 mph Getting stronger on the hills, but still fall off sometimes. Kind of aiming for a DC next year, although I have other pursuits and will probably get in 2500 miles this year. |
