Nice!!

The loop around the Strawberry Mountains has really nice scenery. I've hiked in those mountains a few times and really love that country.

Some year, not sure when, I'd like to ride in Cycle Oregon. Have friends at work who ride the event every other year.

Have a great ride to Burns and hopefully the traffic won't be to bad.

I agree. It is a GREAT tour, no matter what the route.

But you know, it didn't happen if it happend without pictures.

I wish I could have ridden this tour. I was born in Lakeview which is not too far from Frenchglen and Burns.

I did Cycle Oregon IX that started and finished in Lakeview (a rare loop-type Cycle Oregon). It headed north through Silver Lake then west, south along Route 97 (less fun than the more typical quiet back roads), around Crater Lake (one of three days with century options) to Klamath Falls, then east along the Californis border to Lakeview.

Cycle Oregon is fantastic fun through beautiful country (regardless of route), fabulous support, and lots of new friends. Do they still do the daily newspaper?

I hope they repeat that route again. I would do it in a heartbeat. I need to stay more informed; so, I don't miss these opportunities.

The Lake County Examiner is still being published to the best of my knowledge.

I did CO IX as well, but my favorite route was CO II ... riding the spine of the Cascades. That was amazing.
