Colored Tire -- Yes/No?

While I'm waiting for my replacement Conti GP 4000, I put this "spare" red tire on that I had in the garage. Maybe when it's time to re-tire I should get red 4000s, what do you think?

It could work. The silver fork might help it not become too much. You might have to change out the red bar tape if it's overwhelming. Just something to break up the monochromatic scheme a bit.

I always rock black and yellow tires. Go for yours. A little bling bling is the spice of life.

+1 Tough call.

I think I'll go for colored GP4000s next time ... it's all about style.

Sorry I was editing as you we typing. Is that fork actually silver? I basically like it, but that's a lot of red.

Bikes: Lectric Xpedition.

No. It looks oddly subversive. Next thing, you'll want to go red ano on your chain.

The above sounds kind of dirty.

Yes - perhaps this is something that "younger folks" do and you could fool someone?

If you get red tires, eventually one will fail & you'll likely end up with the same mis-match that you have now.

Black= sensible
Color= styling

Hell, get a red saddle too!

Fifty-plus is WAY too old too be asking other people about your color choices. But since you did: I hate color-matching. But you're old enough to make up your own mind.

on your red frame Id say no.

for a while I had some white striped on my bike but it is just black and white. It looked ok when new but now im using black only.

Yes! But only if you're a yuppie riding a "fixie" in a city.

The only red real men should have on their tyres is the blood of unwary pedestrians.

You should do exactly what YOU want to do as far as the color of anything on YOUR bike. Me, wouldn't be my thing, gum wall is as radical as I get.

Yes - and change the saddle to red and don't forget to wear a red jersey! As the man said, it's all about style!

Ew.

Although I'd like to see some different colored bikes besides red, white, silver and black.
