Famous 50+ers

I know that Robin Williams is a keen cyclist, and also David Byrne of Talking Heads, who are both eligible to join this forum (perhaps they already have under aliases).

What other stars or renowned people over 50 are keen or regular cyclists?

In the UK I'll start off with Lord Sugar, businessman and star of The Apprentice

FWIW: Being 50+ isn't a requirement to join this forum. Justin Bieber could join, and might already be a member under an alias.

We have had this discussion previously. Anyone interested in the 50+ topics may (and have) joined in. If colonoscopy, cataracts, weakening muscles, knee replacements, hip problems, balance issues and the like as they relate to bicycling are your interests, please join in!!

I didn't recognize the picture until I tried googling G.W. Bush to verify he is an enthusiast.

Are you saying I emailed a copy of my birth certificate to the site administrator and I didn't have to?

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Definitely an enthusiast but he had a well documented propensity for falling down and running into things.

I'm thinking he'd fit right in with the folks I ride with - provided he kept mum about politics.

I doubt it would be a problem. I hear he's a pretty classy guy and wouldn't bore you with incessant political drivel, unlike, well...

Are there no celebs who brave the world of click pedals? They all look like a bunch of freds.

There's nothing wrong with that.

Dr. McDreamy and Matthew McHoosiewhatsie are also avid cyclists. They're too young for this forum, but I bet they lurk here for all the snarky humor and such.

There is Bill Cunningham, fashion photographer extraordinaire, who is well known for his bicycle.

He's so identified with his bike that it's part of his official NYT picture.
