You can't fight it or change it, you might as well just accept it
It doesn't change anything, just keep on peddling!!

Yeah. Me too. As of today - although technically I guess I need to wait until 6:20 p.m. to say "Yeah - I am officially fifty."

That's OK, I'll fudge the time and call it a day.

Welcome to you both, I guess I should you are old enough to know better, but that one is pretty obviously being ignored by all of us here in the 50+ asylum. Walter, its shame that a good moderator is going bad now, its all down hill from here on in....

Welcome! It's all uphill er, downhill, er flatland, flatline . . . whatever from here. Just turned 60 a month ago and life is darn fine right now. I expect it to be for quite some time.

So this is where the cool ones hang out? As of Aug 10, I have joined the nifty fifty club. Its been a tough riding season, (a fall and a slightly torn hamstring) but the "new" old Masi I recently picked up makes up for it!

Happy Birthday to ALL you whippersnappers!!!!

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE don't be one of those, I am "50 years YOUNG" type of people. Embrace your age and wisdom and it will serve you remarkably well.

I rode my 200 miler at 60 years old, my first half marathon at 61 years old, my first marathon at 61.5 years old, my first triathlon at 62 years old and my first Ironman at almost 63.5 years old.

Now doesn't that years old sound more meaningful?

May the Force be with you on all your bike rides!!!!!!

Just wait till you start getting lotsa lotsa letters in the mail reminding you that you are very very close to being Medicare-eligible and wanting you to consider their fine Medicare-related insurance product.
Thank you Mr. Postman!

Bikes: Enough bikes...for today!

I'm old enough to sometimes forget why I'm here now.

Ever since I stumbled onto Bike Forums, I've age qualified to be here, but I didn't feel my age. I didn't start to realize I'm getting up there until I age qualified for "Senior Coffee" at McDonalds.

Welcome to the new guys.
