First week back riding results

Pain kept off my bike last summer . A new Doctor and new medicine has me headed the right way . This week the weather broke and I could finally ride. I set a modest goal of 20 miles . I ended up at 22.9 and feeling decent My plan is to get to 30-40 miles a week over the next month or 2 and maintain that

Good for you!

How many rides/week are you doing? Without pushing too hard, if you stick with it you may find that 30-40 miles/week is easily surpassable. The rule of thumb is that you can shoot to increase your mileage by 10%/week. That adds up pretty fast.

Regardless, the key is to get out there and enjoy yourself.

I took my steamroller out to my local M.U.P. trail today I turned around 3 miles out not ready to take the whole loop (8 miles) yet on a single speed ended up riding 6.15 miles. Which is better than sitting inside. I rode the loop with no problem with a geared bike last week .

Well my knee was killing me all week which threw my back out My goal for this week is 22 miles I rode 8.75 this morning bringing this weeks total to 21.4 I don't know if I have enough gas left to spin around the neighborhood. BY the way do I get double miles for the fat tire mongoose bike.

Only if I get it too I'm a tad north of #300 and one of my bikes has 700x25 tires I managed to ride around the neighborhood to get 3/4 of a mile and make my second weeks goal.
I will say this that mongoose Brutus bike gets peoples attention I stripped all the decals and reflectors off it changed the sprocket so you can pedal the thing and added yellow chain
