Question about pics...

When I upload a pic, it appears as this tiny pic which, when clicked upon, becomes larger. But i see many pics in these threads that are already full size or nearly full size. Are they being uploaded differently? I searched the FAQs but couldn't find an answer to this. Thanks.

The more I know, the more I forget. The more I forget, the less I know. The less I know, the more I remember. The more I remember, the more I know. Rinse and repeat.

The problem with hosting photos on another site is that there is less control over those photos. So it is not uncommon to have someone pull up an old page where all the remotely hosted photos are missing.

There is a trick to making photos hosted on BikeForums bigger.
 • Insert your image.
 • Go to a preview page and open the link in a new window.
 • Copy the URL from this new page, and paste it back into your document surrounded by

You will end up with both the thumbnail and the big photo.

I really prefer thumbnails, cuts down on the clutter. It's easy to click on those you want to look at, and you can avoid silly photos like a close-up of a bran muffin (really???).

You should have seen the bad potholes that were on the route.
Ride leader said she started out marking them with paint, but before long realized the club couldn't afford that much paint.

In the UK, when the local authorities fill in potholes, the roads usually end up with little mounds about as high as the potholes were deep.
