Unhappy Bike fit problems

I bought a Merida Reacto 5000 recently, and was recommended a size 50. However there's barely standover clearance and noticeably the seatpost is very very short. The next drop however would be a size 47. Yes, I am kinda leaning towards the 47 for more seat to bar drop..
Do I fit a 47 or 50? Confused.

Options:
1) Drop handlebars, remove all spacers
2) Get shorter crankarms
3) Change to 47

Frame size calculator - Merida Bikes

You will probably be happier with the seat raised and maybe set back a bit. Probably a smaller frame.

Sure doesn't look too big to me. Saddle probably too low. Might need a slightly longer stem. I'd say, right size.

Edit: I just checked (because I had no idea) and while sitting on the saddle I can't touch the ground with my feet, even pointing my toe and swinging my leg - it doesn't touch. So that's the reason that there's not much exposed seatpost or saddle to bar drop. Who knows, might even be too small. 50 is pretty small. I'm a short-legged 5'6" and I ride 52-54. I have a 50, but it's too small.

Looks right to me. Last picture, you in the drops, shows there is just enough top tube length. Any shorter and you'd be hunched up and cramped. Saddle too low. When in saddle, if you place your heels on the pedals, when pedal is at lowest position your leg should be straight with knee pretty much locked.

it looks Adequate for that style of bike and required racer-like posture.
