Wedges work

I've been having problems with the outer part of my left foot feeling very sore during rides. So after a bit of research, I purchased some wedges. After trial and error, I ended up with 3 degrees of wedging on my left foot, and 1 degree of wedging on my right foot. Outer foot pain is gone, and my right knee doesn't seem to get sore during rides.

How did you know which size wedge to use and where to place them?

"Trial and error" would be my guess.
