Allez E5 right frame size
Hello,
I am interested in the Allez E5 Sport 2016. For a person my height (1,72cm, inside leg 78-79 cm) the sizing chart says the 54cm frame would be the right size. However, it did not feel good when I tried it - my arms were stretched. I ride a M size SPZ MTB (which feels right) , and I do not know if the 54cm frame does not feel right because of the difference in riding position from the MTB (it will be my first road bike) or because frame is actually big.
Any thoughts on that ?
Thanks in advance.

Nice bike. If the 54 feels too large, there is nothing wrong with trying the next smaller size. Specialized road bikes run a bit larger for their nominal size, and their size recommendations tend to run large, too.
Personally, I'd rather make a bike that's a bit small fit larger with a longer stem and more saddle setback than make a bike that's too large fit smaller by moving the saddle forward and using a shorter stem. You'll have more options and feel more in control with the smaller frame.
