seat position problem
My road bike seems to be the right dimensions for my measurements, but my bottom keeps slipping to the front of the seat wile I am peddling. Seat adjustment is per recommendation. I have tried tilting the seat back but it gets very uncomfortable in the crotch.
Any ideas?

IDK, maybe you want one of those slot down the middle saddles, saddle should be level.
maybe you don't like the typical road bike posture ?
raise the bars higher, change the stem, keep your hips upright , bend above the waist..

Saddle may to too far forward. Best always to post photos, one with cranks vertical, one horizontal, elbows well bent.

I tend too nose-down a little bit. I think the nose of the saddle should point at the handlebars (at least with bars lower than the seat). So, if the bars are at seat level, then a level seat is fine. If there is a significant amount of drop to the bars, then the nose must be pointed down quite a bit.
For me, I don't sit in the seat like a lounge chair. Pedalling is a pretty dynamic process, so I can hold my seat where I want it to be.
I agree with above, photos of the bike would help, otherwise we're just guessing about the rider's configuration.
Racing fit vs Casual fit?
There are other seat designs too. Fizik sells a noseless saddle. SMP and ISM have some unique designs to reduce pressure points. Other innovations with other brands too.

Recommended saddle positions should not be read as written in stone. They should be read as the initial starting point in the fitting process. Also, as miles are added and cycling fitness improves, the most comfortable position will change also.
