Delayed Shipment

Just got off the phone with my local Brompton dealer and was told my order was still on the way but the shipment had gotten delayed from Brompton by up to 2 weeks. I knew this going in and projected that it would be 2 months before it would arrive. So I will continue to wait bit maybe I'll have it before June 1st (ordered 3/28)

Good luck Leo, the weeks should fly by pretty quickly.
Great looking machine.

When I ordered a pair of Bromptons my five weeks turnaround turned into twelve so I feel your pain. Hopefully when you receive your bike, you will forget all about the wait.

Still waiting. The shop I ordered through doesn't have an exact status except that it's in a container on a ship awaiting receiving. No tracking information yet either. The shop is trying to at least get that. Starting to look like summer bike here in SoCal.

Just got the call from the bicycle shop that my new Brompton H6L has finally arrive. Wow. 2 months to the day. The shop is having their mechanic put it together for me to pick it up later this afternoon. Excited. I'll post a photo once I get it in my hot hands. I'm curious how it handles under my 247lb weight. (6'0"). Plan to scare and torment the local kids on my Brompton.

Congrats... I'll admit to having little patience for that kinda wait. Fortunately I live a commuter train away from NYCE Wheels, and picked mine out of their stock. They built it while I waited and I was able to ride it home with everything I wanted the same day (last Monday actually). Let us know how you like it.... mine really appeals to the multi-tasking, gadget guy in me .

Love it!!! So worth the wait. 2 months to the day! Even came with the Brooks Cooper saddle which I wasn't expecting.

Congratulations on receiving your bike. Brompton states that the maximum weight is 242 pounds so at least you are in the ballpark. I am sure it will handle fine.

Some photos.
Partial fold:

Copper under Brooks seat:

And mystery grey plastic wrap - is that supposed to be there or is it from the packaging/shipping material? Or is it there to protect the hook from scratching when it's folded?

Ok found out that the grey plastic was part of the packing/shipping materials and can be removed. It was to prevent scratching in transit.
