Correct Air Pressure?

I have a Bike Friday Tikit with Kevlar Belt tires 16 x 13/8. What is the correct tire pressure for this size? Thanks!

Depends on the tire's construction and your weight including "stuff". In other words, simply knowing the size is too little information.

Too much to write here. But you could start by reading this ...

Have fun experimenting.

Should say right on the tire the recommended max pressure. It will vary from tire brand to tire brand. Roger

Tire Pressure

Yes, most tires have the recommended tire pressure on them, but not these tires.

Well, I have yet to see a tire that doesn't have the pressure recommendation on it. You need to check with the manufacturer on this.

This is bound to be a relatively high quality tire. 65 psi would certainly not be an issue with a 1 3/8" tire.

I would be surprized if you clean both tires really well that you will not find the tire pressure range molded into the sidewall of the tire. Usually it will have Min 40 Max 65 PSI or something like that actually molded in the tire. I believe it is probably required by law in many countries.

If it is anything like the Brompton branded tire they recommend:

Front: 75 to 90 PSI, 100 PSI max.
Rear: 85 to 100 PSI, 100 PSI max.

Schwalbe Marathon:
Front: 60 to 75 PSI, 115 PSI max.
Rear: 70 to 85 PSI, 115 PSI max.

I suspect closer to the first tire I listed.
