If anybody has any further information I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Oyama has been building bikes for 50 years and folders for 30 years with many design and innovation awards behind them. I have met the founder and toured the factory. They have full manufacturing in house with rigid quality control.

The Skyline In7B I've ridden and it is sweet, and I was amazed at the price. They use C-Drive instead of gates, which saves money. I also like no proprietary derailleurs. No one has distributed this global brand in the US until Foldaway Solutions

IIRC the US-market Breezer i3 was a rebadged Oyama Space Genie.

How do you know it's not a rebranding of an Oyama bike? Dahon doesn't make everything original.

Know, like for dead certain fact? Don't. But ya know, Dahon did show that bike @ Interbike 2009, and it's a 24" version of a swoopy hydroformed frame Tern claimed in 2011 was exclusive because they had it patented (in Lithuania? But when the dust settled after the Tern/Dahon lawsuits, Dahon kept right on offering it.) Then Yan did say Oyama 'borrowed' ideas.

If you have any cited source that indicates Oyama originated that bike in 2007/8 and offered it to Dahon and then Tern (their Eclipse model), I'm sure the folding community would find it interesting.

I like the bike. It looks well made, and it would suit my needs. And apparently these companies copy each other all the time. ALL "borrow" from one another at one time or another. As long as it's not a straight up patent issue I have no problems with it. Others may have issues,...I don't.

As to the Tern vs Dahon debacle, that's old news.

Also, don't ask me to cite sources for proving/disproving that Oyama is first to design this folder, as I didn't claim they did. You're asking for a fact I never claimed existed. I stated that Dahon isn't always original with their designs. My comment was more of a question. They are a leader in the folding bike community, but there's tech that's now shared by many. I do luv the Curl though.
