You might do better with pictures. I haven't seen a serial number = year list but a dealer might have one. Roger

I haven't found a way to determine the exact date but you can get a general idea by looking at the Sturmey-Archer rear hub. There's a date stamp on those. The bike was probably built a few months after that date.
