Brompton with Capreo Hub
I'm curious as to whether anyone has tried it (Steve Parry or the likes)?
While I love my Tikit with the Capreo, I can't help but long for a smaller fold (to be less obtrusive on the bus). I already respaced the rear axle and it looks like I could knock another 8mm or so off of it, so I'm considering trying to get ahold of a Brommie and having new drops welded on

Are you going to fit a Birdy-style wire extension to the rear dérailleur? You'll have problems wrapping enough chain otherwise.

Brompton has a 2 speed freehub, 12 & 16t cog, Chain Shifts by pushing the chain tensioner pulleys back and forth, and they slide to accommodate, sideways.
rather than a vulnerable RD sticking out. a clever method..
part of the small fold is narrow dropouts on both ends 110 ish rear 74 front
people have fitted other IG hubs on Bromptons. SA 8 speeds are one of the choices..
Nexus another ..
You can narrow the overlock nut end lengths , some ...

Steve Parry gave up on dérailleur Bromptons a long time ago. I've ridden the first Brompton fitted with a dérailleur, I'll stick with hub gears.

SP has a telephone, in the GMT time zone. Probably won't miss the next BWC race festivities , If you want to go ..
UK based dealers was where I saw pictures of the modified drivetrains, flicker folding bike pix.
https://www.foldsoc.co.uk/ may direct you to some other folks over there..
Myself, I bought a Schlumpf mountain drive crankset,
it's 2nd internal gear range doubles my AW3 hub's gear
range and ratios 3 to the low side. 17" to about 80'' on the high range
54t/15t sprockets
