Any other reasonable ridable subcompacts that would fit in a (mezzo) rack bag? A mobikey or a Carryme (sticking out of the open bag like a couple of mini scooter can be carried)
)

Thanks, I didn't know about the A-bike, which is about 50% cheaper than the CarryMe :-/

Have you or someone else tried the 6- and 8-inch wheels?

But then, it's from Clive Sinclair

A retailer who sells both the CarryMe and the Sitra told me that users of the Mobikey complain that it's not rigid enough when you have to brake hard.

A carry me does work, I have tried it now!
it needs securing to the seatpost as the package is quite high.

Find it easier to carry on my back in its bag.

Depending on where you're from, there are a lot of smaller wheeled bikes from 12" upwards. I used to have a CarryMe and eventually sold it off -- regretting that now! The build on the CarryMe is superb.

Anyway, I also have a 14" Gogobike Vigor. It's a copy of a Dahon Dove. Here's a shot below compared to a BF Express Tikit.
