Bikes: 2X dualdrive Mezzo folder, plus others

However,.................. Narrow folding bikes that do not fold over doubling there width fit well it to narrow spaces between seats, between lockers. There are some advantagers of the design. However I would rather go for a mini vello with a Abber 90 degree QR stem.

Bikes: Pacific-Reach SL

For what I use my bike, narrow & smaller footprint is best, I never have a shortage in space above my head this is why carryme for me is on a class on its own, its footprint is smaller than an ipad!

Bigfish has introduced an e-bike version at this year's Eurobike.

Well said. I welcome alteratives

Earlier it was asked why someone might prefer a bigfish over a curve SL.

Ok

I like the curve but.....
1) Dahon fold is not that great, it does not hold together well unless you fiddle with it.

2)The big fish will, I would have thought, go in a narrow space like a small car boot that does not fit the wide fold of a dhaon etc.
I found my diblasi, (non fold over frame),fitted in the back of my Nissan micra without folding back seats down, but the brompton did not fit.
I had a Porsche 912 owner chose a diblais for same reason. A long thin fold has its appeal.

3) as regular folder users we get used to folding our bikes and occasional users might not want to learn to fold a dahon, or find it easy. My family did not get on with my curve fold.

4) It also looks like it stands better.

LOL!! And I agree with kamtsa... this doesn't really fold, it merely changes shape.
I've never been a fan of the 'original' BigFish and this new design surely hasn't won me over. On a positive note, if I squint or had a lot of pollen in my eyes the new BF does sort of look like an F-frame Moulton.

They have a pretty poor resale value judging by the one that went for buttons the week before last on ebay.co.uk. It was the frame design like the one pictured up above with the young lady riding it. I was quite interested not having yet resolved to buy the B, and if it had been a steel frame, I would have bid, but having had my stouter Merc frame fail under the seat post I thought this frame might be weak. I think it went for about £60 which would be a bargain for someone who wanted a nearly new folder, but didn't mind it folding in a funny way.

BTW, one thing I do admire is the front fork design. It's what I envisioned as an alternative to a front wheel that tucks in like a Birdy or Mezzo but in a simpler way.

There are a few used ones on sale on ebay UK at moment. One guy make the usual claims its like a brompton. And better than a dahon and mezzo. Usual silly claims. Its so good he is selling it!
Wounder if he would swap it for a brompton, top flight dahon or mezzo,

Swop anyone??
