So, how much? btw, I´m living in Mexico, so maybe the shipping will be expensive than the item right? We have an official distributor over here and I can get the ori rack for 82 USD plus 65 USD for the fender.
I´m looking for a cheaper option at least to install the fender cause the last rainning season was too much :P
Anyway, big thanks for answer, I appreciate it.

rack

I can put on ebay sometime if you want.
Its new and wrapped still.
£25 plus postage would cover what I paid for it.
I can let you know when its on.

Interested on the rack but wonder how much is the shipping cost to Malaysia..

Mezzo maintenance time!

I noticed my handlebars were a bit "wobbly" the other day and decided to check if anything was loose. They seemed to rotate around the front hinge point.

https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...938c33e1a7.jpg

I found the main bolt that the hinge rotates around was a bit loose. I tightened it up and of course checked the hinge was not too stiff.

Has anyone else found this problem?

Hi peeps,

Interested in a Mezzo. Coming from a Dahon Mu P8, would a Mezzo D9 be considered an upgrade?

Thanks.

The Mezzo is a much more stable bike to ride and more like a "normal" bike. It is also well designed with a lovely finish on the anodised aluminium frame.

You can read an extensive review here: https://www.bikeradar.com/gear/categ...ikes-d9-10551/

Thanks. Mezzo is affordable used on ebay but not as cheap as my Dahon (£75 years ago, ebay again)

Will take a few days to decide. Wish I could testride...

keke 07-26-18 05:10 PM

I feel so silly. Just realised the Mezzo D9 is a 16" wheel not 20" like my Mu P8...

Another Q (can't figure this one out after looking a million photos): is the height of the handlepost adjustable? I have a different geometry and wonder if I can adjust the bike (esp handle post height) as needed. Thanks.

It is not really adjustable since the head tube is part of the folding mechanism... you might get a few mm adjustment here where I have highlighted. I am 5ft 11 and have a long body but I enjoy the position riding the Mezzo and don't find it awkward. The seat height can be set in many positions of course.https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1b06678f60.jpg

Thanks MezzoLew, same height pretty much so might be worth a shout if I find one cheap enough.
I figure the 16 vs 20 might not be an issue in reality.

I also have a non folding touring bike and I still enjoy the 16 inch wheel ride on the Mezzo. They are selling for under £300 in the ebay UK site at the moment which is a good price. I paid just over £300 with extras - bags and spares.

Have you found a cheap enough one yet? A few sold on Ebay this week for a reasonably low price!

Yeah, seen quite a few whizz by. Have my eye on a beaten up one...

Anyone know if it's still possible to get the updated front fork? No spares anywhere online AFAIK.

That's the risk with buying a mezzo right now, shame. British brand too...

Why do you need a front fork? That seems like an unlikely part to fail in normal use. Most other parts for a Mezzo D9 are freely available and standard items. I have changed the folding pedals for metal ones (WELLGO Folding Bike Aluminium Cycle Pedals 9/16" Pedal Thread 2 DU Bearings) and the brake pads of course to eliminate squealing! Tyres and wheels are interchangeable.

I have found a source of a updated fork as well for a reasonable price - contact me if you want details.

Bit the bullet today visited Asda (Wallmart for my US friends) and folded up the Mezzo and popped it into the (large) trolley. No comments from anyone as I walked around the shop and I told the customer care chap at the self service checkouts that I wanted to stop it being nicked! He smiled and that was all.

Sorry no photo taken as I did not want to draw any attention!

Old and new front fork designs side by side - new design are all black - no attempt to match the bike frame colour.

Nice pedals MezzoLew, I broke one of my Ori Mi8 pedals and ended mounting a pair of MKS Esprit Ezy.
Could you recommend any brake pads? Thank you!

BromptonINrio 08-08-18 06:19 AM

Mezzo brand mostly survives in ori brand.
just seek ori folding bikes.

Can only find one European seller...
In Spain and not sure if that's a distributor or not.

Clarks 50mm pads are the best ones and I have had no issues once I fitted them.
