The more I see Bromptons and read about the ingenious folding, the iconic design, the cachet, the esprit de corps, the art, the elegance, the sheer perfection, the more I long for a Jifo.

It's an acquired taste. Try the Brompton Appreciation 101 class at your local community center.

We know b's are so fast they ae banned from racing, they are 100x smaller than other folder, they can carry 3 elephants, they should be in an art gallery when not being riden, the service is so good you weep at the memory, it fits everyone perfectly, it creates oxygen, world peace.
Its only flaw is that its flawless.
Oh, and I might be selling mine soon!

You are in luck. Used Bromptons are in high demand and they preserve their value very well.

I was thinking about instead of investing in gold, why not Brompton. About 10 years ago, you could get a C3 for about $700 dollars and now the price is double! I think one could sell a mint never used C3 for about 1K today and people would buy it on Ebay.

Now if only my 401K plan could do as well! LOL!

Well, let me admit once again I'm not fluid in english enough to express accurately how so many angles and extremes of pieces exposed can hook on my clothes. And the guy in the pic is so much taller and wider than me, he could be lifting my own Speed TR without effort, but he also is risking to get his clothes dirt and is stand up a little weird.
I feel is the harmony of the bike once folded and to minimize the risk of having something hooked when you roll or lift it.

OK the guy is standing weird ? He also has a beerbottle and a beercan in his other hand ..turning around for my camera .... if thats what makes the harmony of the bike once folded looking wrong to you .... Thats ok to me.... It does seem to proof however that even turning around in an awkward position that he is not hooked anywhere....

Its ok .... you dont need to find excuses why YOU dont like the bike and you like YOURS better... Its just wrong to state stuff as a fact , when its obviously is wrong ... ...

Peace and Harmony ...

Didn't want to state anything more than my personal view and first impression.
