Giant Expressway 2

I notice that these folders do not seem to be very popular.
Is there any reason for this ?

I saw one of these for my wife in a LBS. Seemed kind of heavy

I just looked at these in response to your inquiry. The model looks pretty darn sweet to me. I imagine it is due to the stiff competition from Dahon Tern etc... for similar models. If you have a Giant dealer local it certainly seems like model to consider in the price bracket.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

I haven't seen any recently in any bike shop... but then again folders are a niche market. Giant makes excellent full sized bikes, I have 3 of them.

I have a Giant Expressway and love it. I sold my Giant Halfway when I picked this one up. It's an excellent little Folder.

My wife has an Giant Expressway and I have a Giant Halfway. Great bikes that are a cut above in my opinion. The reason they may not be as popular is the price. They are a little more, but the quality shows when you go for a ride. I would have been very happy with the Expressway but I got a heavy discount at my LBS last year. The pair were purchased for $1000 taxes included. The Halway way listed @$849, the Expressway @$449. I believe the halfway has been discontinued. It has the mono fork and frame and higher end components.

Using my new luggage scale the Expressway weighed in at 29.7lbs with rack and lights and the Halfway was 27.9lbs with rack and lights.

Mrs browngw had me change the saddle to her favourite Serfas.
