Phishing alert
Any thread I click on, Avast gives me a "threat blocked" message about a phishing attempt. This started today after I ran a malware/virus scan. Any idea what's going on? Thank you. Maybe I should pay for a membership?

Can you please try to clear the cache for the site and see if that changes anything?

Cleared the cache in Firefox but still getting the Avast pop-up. Problem sites are identified as cim9.ibsrv.net also cimg4.ibsrv.net

I've been getting the same phishing alert from Avast: "cimg4.ibsrv.net is infected with URL: Phishing" I cleared my cache, we'll see if it works. I'm still not seeing any ads, and yes, my ad blocker is off.

My account here has a unique email address alias; I have never used it elsewhere. Despite invoking all of the privacy settings when I joined, I am bombarded with email phishing spam to this address. Just today, I received 176 such spam emails. What they all seem to have in common is that they are phishing scams, not "semi-legitimate" sales pitches or anything like that.

Well carp. Avast insists that pretty much all photos, including member-posted photos, are infected. Monday can't come soon enough.

Yeah, my alerts are back as well. I have tried opening random posts. Seems to happen most often although not exclusively with posts containing member's pictures. Not always and sometimes happens in a text only thread.

How about ads? I haven't seen one for days. Since I can't afford a membership, I figured the least I could do is not block the ads, but now it's just "Advertisement" where they would normally go; I figure it's Avast panicking again.

My Experian Identity Theft monitoring claims this is a "potentially breached site," and that the email address, which I have only used on this site, is now on the "dark web."
