searching from gallery

attempted to search from "gallery" and kept getting message about "logging in previously" telling me to hit the back button and reload
did this several times and it just keeps going round and round
if it is not possible to search from "gallery" then gallery should not have a search window
if it is going to have a search window then it should be functional

Gallery has been messed up for a while. I can only assume it's not a priority for them.
I get that same message. And when I come into the Gallery my browser seems to refresh or redirect a few times and in one of them I see a login box briefly. I've long wondered if the login is broken on some pages as the pic's no longer show the name of the owner when the mouse pointer is hovered over them.
The long standing issue I told them about once is that when on the "Recent" tab, if you select another page, then the new pages are no longer sorted by recent photos. So I had to set up a bunch of bookmarks with the proper URL to let me view the most recent 10 pages of pics added to the gallery.

If you go to the other tabs that have the pages bar at the bottom, then clicking on them doesn't take you to the same page as what it does when you click on the page 2 when on the recent tab. I will agree that it is going to page two of the trending from the one page of recent photos it shows.
But those other pages don't quite work correctly either. And there is a lack of consistency about the how one pages. If you go to the trending tab, then at the bottom of it, there is a more bar instead of a page bar.
And I'm still curious why the pics never show the member name as they use to. I think it goes hand in hand with the issue the OP ask about it showing not logged in when a search is attempted. On some tabs, you get the numerical number of the member or maybe that's their gallery number. On other pages you don't get that. So again it's inconsistent which suggest something is broken.
While I can't prover it, I seem to remember the Gallery use to work more as expected 4 years or more ago. But sometime since it's had issues. But since very few gripe about it, perhaps it's not worth the time to deal with.

If you want to see additional pages of recent pics, all you have to do is increment a number at the end of the recent's URL, but not the URL the Gallery recent tab takes you to.

That sound's like a brush off to me. Not you brushing me off, but the one you ask brushing you off.
