Who is "we"? This was done weeks ago, you're just the last to know. And it was certainly no secret.

So does this mean you're going to let go of your anger?

Absolutely.

I've admitted to making a mistake. There's nothing more I can do to correct the situation.

Landgolier is only hurting himself now...time to move on. Either buck up, or leave completely.

Who said I was angry? I consider this whole thing to be completely hilarious, though not as funny as the night two weeks ago when SSFG went completely nuclear. That was more than I've laughed because of the internet in a while.

Can we get back to the part where you tell me what rule I broke that got me banned from SSFG? Or are we going to have another mod party where you guys post a bunch of blather to try to change the subject?

You've been throwing a tantrum for days.

I love that there are people reading this thread who aren't even involved.

Back to basics one more time. Brian banned me from SSFG. After more than two weeks he's still trying to figure out a way to justify this under stated rules of the site. I'm sure that given this much time he will sooner or later be able to figure out some cobbled together excuse whereby I obliquely violated some guideline or did something that fell under the rubric of "disruption" (whatever that means). It might even have to do with my reposting of an off-color joke he himself posted on the forums and I reposted several times to keep him honest.

I respectfully submit that when it takes this long for a mod/admin to come up with the reason why he banned someone, that explanation should be considered a completely ex post facto justification with no bearing on the original motivations. How can it take someone over two weeks to figure out why they did something? At any point in this mess Brian and the rest of the mod team could have publicly admitted what we now all know, which is that I and some other members were banned not for violating the rules (which I'm sure under some strained construction it could be plausible that we did), but because the mods simply didn't like us. Come on here folks, just admit the truth and I'll be happy to pack it in.

First of all, the edit stamp feature wasn't even functional until the night of May 12th, which is when Maelstrom was able to fix the code. We were literally unable to determine that any post on any of the forums was edited until that time. You yourself refused to give us any idea which post or thread you were referring to or much in the way of any information at all except that we should somehow know exactly what post you were talking about. I'm sorry to hear that you make no connection between that and the length of time it took us to figure out what you were talking about, but it seems you're hoping we admit we had some sort of plan that never existed in the first place.

Incorrect.

You lost your access to SSFG, which would have been the work of one of three people. Considering that one of the two that are not me did twice as many as me doesn't really put the odds in my favor. But you'll continue to make your ASSumptions.

Do you even participate on this site anymore, or is this thread the only place you post?

I assumed it was you that banned me from SSFG since you threatened to do it, at one point asking me to post something inappropriate and get it over with (those were pretty much your exact words) in order to give you an excuse to do so. If it was someone else who pulled the trigger, my apologies. And just to be clear, is "ASSumptions" meant to be an insult? I'd appreciate it if you'd keep this civil and follow your own rules re: insulting other members. In case I'm not being clear here, my underlying point throughout this whole thing has been that the mods on this site act like the rules don't apply to them, whether it's insulting people, disrupting threads they don't like, posting inappropriate content, editing posts in a misleading fashion, or banning people from boards when they haven't broken any rules.

I'd be happy to participate on this site if you'd restore my access to the forum where I've been doing 90% of my posting for the last year or so. One of the three mods you mention banned me from it without giving any justification or (assuming it wasn't you) warning.

Sorry if I'm being unclear, what I've been waiting for for over two weeks has been the reason why I was banned from SSFG. I'm assuming that someone will cook up some reason at some point, but again, why should this be taken as credible after this long? As for why I did not initially state which post was edited, I think it's pretty obvious that I was hoping to get some mod or admin to state what the rules were on this before we discussed the particular case. That's really the only way for rules to work, if you can make them up after you've taken an action that was supposedly bound by them they're not really rules.

Personally, I'm going through a transitional stage right now, so I got better things to do than be on the internet all day. But I saw some of the [bad stuff] that went down. The Man came in and said don't be a [knob]. Then a bunch of punks decided to be [knobs]. Well, now you are someone's [whipping boy]. And the more you complain, there more brothas are gonna read your [bad stuff], and say damn, what a little [whiner].

There aint no rules, just Jules. And Jules suggests that you chill out. Now I'm shutting up before they ban me again.

^^^You're clearly dodging the word filter

Vulgarity:
As a community with a diverse variety of members and readers, we ask that our members to post without using vulgarity. Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious and homophobic language which may offend other members. In addition, the "masking" of vulgarity by inserting * or another keystroke in place of one or more letters in a vulgar term is unacceptable in most cases.

edit: Even in your sig you're violating TOS.

Jules should not get a demerit for that. He was not trying to circumvent the filter, he was simply filtered.
I don't believe his intent is to be disruptive, unlike Landgolier (and Peedtm in post #196), who both seem to be poking y'all with a stick just to see how long they can get away with it.

Don't pander to the lowest common denominator just because they are vocal.

If you did not wish to be read by others than the mods you should have conducted your argument in PM or email.

That said, instead of only focusing on how you were wronged, and goading the moderators, try presenting constructive criticisms on how to improve BFSSFG. It is obvious that the mods are willing to listen to you, take advantage of that kindness.
